Did the vote thing. The line was shortish, only an hour from arrival to ballot-casting.
With early voting already pushing us into record turn-out levels I'm hopeful of this being the first actually interesting election in my lifetime. On the other hand, I'm saddened by the fact that I stood in line behind a 40-ish year-old woman who had no idea what to do or that anything beside elected offices on the ballot.
P.S. Four years ago the line was slightly shorter and it rained on me the whole time. I like the not raining part.
