Yet another long gap

Let's see. A quick update is in order.
Found a new job. My last day at Pfizer is this Friday and I could not be happier. Oddly enough, I found a new job that does not involve heavy admin work! They opened up a new gym right down the street from me (I timed it; It is approximately 1.5 miles and takes me about 4 minutes to get there) It's one of those trendy "women's gyms", which is kinda cool actually. It's called "Butterfly Life". I started going there last week when they opened and already I'm seeing a difference. On a whim I asked the owner if they were looking for help and to my surprise they were. It doesn't pay very well, but I get my gym membership free and when the inevitable wintery weather starts to arrive, my commute will not be an issue. In addition, I'll be working out for free, getting into shape, and helping other people like myself get into shape. In the end I think it will be a good decision for me. I will have to get another part time job to make up for the pay decrease but it will be worth it to work so close to home and be able to work at a job that doesn't make me ill.

Health wise, things could be better. Although I am watching my food intake and exercising on a regular basis now, my jaw is hurting terribly. I'm not sure what is causing this throbbing pain. TMJ? An ear infection? a toothache? I have no idea. I'm hoping it will go away soon, because even a slight movement is enough to make it radiate in pain. For now I'm on a steady regime of Tylenol. If it's not better by tomorrow I'm going to consult a doctor, because pain is not fun for me.

Over the weekend Matt ran in the "Pumpkin Run 2006" sponsored by the YMCA in Wakefield RI. It was a 5K run, and they had about 100 runners, but he managed to come in 1st place in the Male 20-29 age category. He won a gold medal and a hug from me. It was cute. And I'm very proud of him!

My brother and sister in law have finalized their plans to come to New England for Thanksgiving, and this year, rather than stay with my mom, they're going to stay with me. They've got a dog now so my mom will not allow a pet in her house. I'm sure that will be fun.

So I'm working at home today in throbbing facial pain, but it beats going into the stifling office. God, I cannot wait for Friday to arrive.

Heres to neccessary changes!
