Grr I keep forgetting CTRL+ENTER. Any as for navigation I suppose you could have a command to look at a list of the last 20 post from a particular user -- maybe this could be implemented using a conversation with that user?
After viewing a list of entries from your LJ friend you can then use a number associated with that post to read a plain text version of what they wrote.
I'm sure no one would really use this. There's only two people here on LJ that I know that use LJ Chat anyway.
