CAHSEE Unconstitutional?

May 13, 2006 16:53

First, read this: Superior Court Judge Rules CAHSEE Unconstitutional.

Now, what the fuck? Why is it Unconstitutional? It discriminates? Fucking shit, people. How can a test discriminate? Does the test automatically fail you if you fill in your race as Hispanic? No. Do test-handlers read through the names of people taking the test, looking for people named Rodriguez, so they can change the answers and fuck them over? No. The test asks simple fucking questions that anyone graduating from fucking High School should be able to answer. If you can not pass, you do not deserve to graduate, simply based on this test alone. It has nothing to do with your fucking race or family background. If you go to class and pay attention, even in the simplest remedial classes, you will pass this test.

You're Mexican? So what. If you quit wasting your time selling drugs and doing drive-bys, and went to calss more often than once a week, you would know the shit on this test. You're poor? Boo-fucking-hoo. It doesn't cost anything to go to school. All you have to do is get up in the morning and get on the school bus (which is free). You can't afford supplies? Wrong. First off, buying enough supplies to get by for a year would cost less than $20. And if you don't have $20 to spare (which we know you do, you drug-dealing wetback), there are donations given by people much more compassionate than I to give you the tools you need to graduate and make a better life for yourself (which you're just going to squander out of your own selfishness, anyways). And if you have no other option, you can just steal it. I know you were going to, anyways.

I took these questions straight from a practice test online, given by a tutoring program (which is not only available to rich white people, either).

1) 3.6 x 102 =

3.600
36
360
3,600

2) Which of the following numerical expressions results in a negative number?

(-7) + (-3)
(-3) + (7)
(3) + (7)
(3) + (-7) + (11)

3) The price of a caculator has decreased from $12.00 to $9.00. What is the percent of decrease?

3%
25%
33%
75%

4) Some students** attend school 180 of 365 days in a year. About what part of the year do they attend school?

18%
50%
75%
180%

5) A pair of jeans regularly sells for $24.00. They are on sale for 25% off. What is the sale price of the jeans?

$6.00
$18.00
$20.00
$30.00

**Proof that the test is biased: "Some students" is referring to those who actually go to class on school days. The reason all the Mexicans missed this is because they only go 18% of the year.

Look at these fucking questions. If you are taking a math class, and can not answer 3 of those 5 correctly, you should not graduate.

These lazy fucks are lucky I didn't make the rules, because I believe answering any of these incorrectly should be a capital offense and punishable by death. Of course, we'd have to do mass murders and mass graves, because killing and burying each of these dumb shits individually would get expensive; and honestly, the state has already wasted enough money on them.

The only reasons I can see people failing this test is:
1) They did not care enough about their education to pay attention and try to pass the test, and would rather blame the bias of the state against their race or family income bracket than take responsiblity for their own inaction.
2) They are in a coma.

Of course, Charles (makes me think of an affluent white male) gets the highest test scores, whereas Hector (A mainly Hispanic name, no?) gets lower scores. And Parisa, an ethnic female, is just plain fucked. I guess these test writers really are biased.

Now for this chick who's throwin a fit over the test, Mayra Ibanez. She failed the test. How many times? Who knows? But I'd venture to guess more than once. But it wasn't her fault. It was Capitalist America's fault for making the school system biased against minorities. But now that we have found the root of the issue, and declared the test unconstitutional, she can go on like a normal, intelligent human being.

And what's she planning to do? Become a medical assistant. All I can do is gape in horror at the thoughts of what could go wrong when she actually starts assisting doctors (you know, the people who actually had to go to school, work, study, and use their fucking brains). Hopefully someone along the line will realize she is unfit to work in the medical field and force her to start over. I doubt she'll even get that far; she'll probably just drop out of training in the first 5 months and retire to having babies that she can't afford, and training them to blame the economy for all of their problems. That is, of course, until another judge decides that not hiring her is unconstitutional, and she should be allowed to work at any medical office she wants. Maybe she'll get a job assisting the newly-hired epileptic surgeon (who got in through the same door as her). Because it's wrong to 'discriminate' hiring based on qualifications (or will be in the future).

But rest assured, she promises that "No one will be hurt if we get our diploma." So what if she doesn't know what 5 - 7 is? I trust her.

So, all in all, I really regret wasting all this time and energy writing a rant that nobody will read or give a shit about, and won't change anything. It probably would have been much easier to find Mayra and bury a tack hammer in her extremely dense skull.
