La Vie en Rose

I just got back from watching 'La Vie en Rose' (or 'La Môme', the original French title), Olivier Dahan's movie on Edith Piaf. I highly recommend it to anyone who knows anything about her music, though I might recommend reading up on her life a little beforehand, as otherwise some parts of the movie may be a little difficult to understand. But then again, the music is made of original recordings of hers, and needless to say, it was amazing, so it's worth seeing the movie just for that. Personally, I adore Piaf's voice and her interpretation of the songs. It always sends shivers down my spine (in a good way).

Last weekend I also saw the new Mr.Bean movie, 'Mr.Bean's Holiday'. I recommend that too :) Not as good as some of the Mr.Bean tv-sketches at all times, but there are a few absolutely hilarious moments in the movie too. And on Thursday and Friday I watched 3 more movies, two of which also starred Rowan Atkinson: 'Johnny English' and 'Keeping Mum'. Both are good, but the latter is better. It's funny, but endearing and sad at the same time. And just a little creepy (read up on the plot and you'll know what I mean). So basically, I've spent most of my Easter holidays watching movies. And sewing. I've sewn two bags, and I'm actually quite pleased with the way they turned out. Yay! I'm also going to sew a third one, something fun and colourful for summer.
