Cursed be the day I discovered Cradle of Rome. That is Bejewelled with a Roman twist. Totally appeals to my history geekness. I never bought a game before in my life, well, this one I had to own. And am always trying to stop myself to waste my whole day on it...
Seriously, it's the most addictive gameplay ever and there are so many variations. I'm still partial to the fairies because I loved the graphics but it doesn't play on Mac and I rarely use the Windoze these days. If I ever do start running Vista or whatever on Mac, that game will be the first thing I load on there.

"I never judge - and don't call me Shirley!"

Seriously, I stopped playing online games a long long time ago because I could end up 'coming to' normal reality with a start, all bleary and spaced-out, and realize I'd wasted 7 hours without realizing it.
Yeah. Not good.
Every now and then I find myself doing a few hours of either Tetris or Pinball for Windoze (haters gonna hate).... but that's about it. While I was in Cali before and during Thanksgiving, I watched my offspring play several hours of the latest "Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood", which is a FARKING fascinating game that (in this particular case) takes place in Rome and Europe circa 1500 - if I wanted to burn my braincells to a crisp and have a cracking good time whilst doing it, I'd be on THAT damn game most of each and every day! It's THAT good. But I know I dassen't dare do it. NUH-unhhhh.

There are some amazing games out there, with some gorgeous graphics and storylines. The trouble is that they really do eat time. Even with a clock or timer, it's hard to limit the hours. I wish they'd make a game that could be set to shut off after an hour and to not let you in again for another 8-12 hours.
I cut myself off FB last month when I discovered to my shock that I was completely obsessed over Frontierville to the extent of clocking in every hour even at work. *gasp* All came to a head when I had four accounts to manage (since I wanted to get some stuff and borrowed my friends' accounts) and hence I was completely stuck on Frontierville. Bad bad bad facebook. ><"
At one point, I was playing my Farmville and my mother's account as well. In fact, I talked her into joining FB so I could have a neighbor. Luckily, FV kind of sucks most of the time, so I don't bother more than once a day.
