Hey Guys.. You'll never guess what happened..

We had our tournament today. It was an awesome bout indeed.  Standard had a very small show up, about 9 people showed up for it.  We had a pretty large turn out and it was nice.  We were going to do double elimination but well.. we sorta ran out of time.

To make this simple, I got beat by Big Jake. No brainer neh? Well.. it would of been better if I wasn't on the left pad (Player 1 Side)... See the right arrow's screwed up.. so it wasn't very nice to me. >_<

Well.. Standard turned out like this::

1st Kilroy
2nd Robert
3rd Kathleen

Heavy turns out like this::

1st Jessie
2nd Jake
3rd Rico

There is an amazing story behind this..

Corey, or the ArchDuke, our top ddr player was playing against Jessie. He's from Texarkana. He's a really good player too. They competed with Corey's elimination.  The first song that they played was The Legend of Max.  A Ten footer. Incredibly hard for those that play on Heavy with just seven, eight, and nine footers. The two of them played with excellent grace, a miss or two  here and there on both sides.  Jessie ended up having that one.  Corey then chose Xenon. I spoke to him before he chose the song, they were getting ready.. choosing their mods and everything. I smiled at him, he was tying his shoe again. He looked at me and I said, "Show us... Show us why you're number one in Jonesboro.. Show us why you're the ArchDuke." He nodded his head, his brows curled and his smile became a grin. His eyes had this.. burning determination within them.. It was indescribable..It was like.. a mix of determination, nervousness, yet divine right all in one. That grin and the burning fire in his eyes just set the mood of the tournament.. And I then realized why it was so awesome.. to be in this tournament..The two played this with an almost choreographized movement. There weren't any 'great trains', there were mainly perfects on both sides. Of course there was the occasional great. Corey had this one.  Jessie was over Corey still by atleast twenty perfects. The last song, which was a random was of course Love Love Shine.  Corey triple a'd the song, and Jessie double a'd it. Jessie, had beaten Corey.. by 15 perfects.

I just want to say to everyone that was at this tournament, that competed and did their best. Good job, and we hope to see you again.
