Since I'll probably start shooting more weddings and formal events, I'm doing some initial research on wedding photography.
If you are married or have knowledge about this, please take a few minutes and answer these questions.
- Cost: How much were you quoted? How much did you pay?
- Rights: Did you retain the rights to the negatives or do you pay per print?
- Quantity: How many photos were taken? How many photos were delivered? What format were they delivered in?
- Scope: Did the cost include a separate shoot of the bride and groom for formals? Did the cost include candids?
In addition, if you also answer the following questions then I'll take a free portrait of you for your next anniversary. Unless you live far away. In that case I'll send you someone else's portrait and you can photoshop your faces onto it.
- Who: Who shot your wedding photos? Do they have a website?
- Quality: Were you satisfied with the value of your wedding photos? If not, was this due primarily to cost or quality?
- The Good: What made you happiest about your wedding photos/photographer?
- The Bad: What made you least happy about (or what was missing from) your wedding photos/photographer?
- Marketing: How did you hear about your wedding photographer? Where did you look to find one?
- Sales: What decision most influenced your decision to hire the photographer? (Cost? Portfolio? Friendliness? Other?)
- Booze: Did your wedding photographer eat your food or drink your wine? Was this OK with you?
- Advice: Is there any advice you would give a new wedding photographer based on your experience?
- Opinion: Compared to my photography, how did your photos rate? Worse? On Par? Better? WAY better?
Thanks so much!
