Saturday
On Saturday we dropped off Alex at his aunt's for the day so we could make our way up to the NY Rennasaince Faire. It was going to be a hot day, which equates to cranky baby. He should be ready to go with us to Maryland faire in October though. Our good friends faireraven and acroyear70 were up from VA for opening weeknd at TUX, and I also wanted to attend the Third Annual Time Traveller's Picninc. (timetravelpicni)
The weather behaved, and we had a hot but sunny day. The picnic went well. I tried to lead the group to a nice quiet place on the forest walk, which failed since there are now tents there, but we found an abandoned bar and picnic area to take over. This year also included a couple of families with well dressed children, and a visit from the pope. The group was also much larger tan last year. And apparently the faire closed at 2 on Sunday due to the storms, so the picnic would have been an epic fail if that happened on Saturday.
