Truth is, I wrestled with how to write a future fic, centered on Sam "carrying on", without also answering how I thought the series will end--or who else will still be standing. (I really hope Jody survives, though. Just sayin.) But it was all too easy to see Sam in this sort of semi-retirement, semi-withdrawal from the world.
Next on the playlist is "Don't Fear the Reaper"--gads! I think I need to go lighter on that one! Somehow...
