Tonight, I took the hambone left over from Easter, simmered it for about an hour to make stock, then made some (*coughs*prepackaged) split pea and lentil soup, and added brown rice and ham. The rice is still a bit undercooked/crunchy, but I actually like the texture. The soup?

It's nice and chunky-filled with yummy goodness!
I have successfully made my third (from the bag of dried beans) soup! I can pretend I can cook! :-)
