Locks are changed! Now the HARD work begins!
I've been taking time to go over to the new house and clean a bit. Next week, I have a company coming in to clean the air ducts and the carpets. The rest of the place is cleanable by a former Army Soldier like myself. :-) The house has definitely settled over the years, clearly evidenced by the poor doors which are not *quite* square in their frames. (ALL the doors- to include the shower stall door... it's pretty sad)
My cousins have bequeathed me a family heirloom: an original
Hoosier cabinet. The one I have now is not in as good condition as the picture (which had been restored), but I'm the fourth generation in the family to own it, so I'm very, very happy. It's the first piece of furniture in the house!
So, taking a break now and I might take a carload over later. We'll see. I definitely need to get my weed trimmer over there ASAP and tackle the yard a bit.
Yay, house! *happydances*
Oh, and it's HOT and HUMID today. Yuk.
