FOG!!!
Last night I went with DC's parents to Bingo. It was really neat. Mom, I think you'd enjoy it, though they called the numbers FAST. I won twice, for a total winnings of 43 pounds. It was lots of fun!
Slept in a bit later than I expected today, but I guess it's all right. DC and I trekked up to Lincoln to see the cathedral and castle. It was mildly misty on the drive up, but climbing the hill to the cathedral (STEEEP hill, y'all) it started getting colder and foggier. The cathedral itself was gorgeous, and you could barely see the tops of the spires for the fog.
Fog fog fog fog! It's FOGGY in England, dont'cha know? Oh, and the roads are NARROW. Geez, I'm glad Darkclaw is driving. Also, the houses are very "cozy". Very, very cozy. Now I know why DC thinks all the houses I look at are so big. I'm glad I live in the U.S. I like my space. :-)
Anyhoo, by the time we left the cathedral, the castle was closed. Good thing is we're planning to visit another castle tomorrow.
We tried twice to get some food, but the first pub/restaurant had a 1-hour wait for food and the second was a 40-minute wait with NO fish. I had specifically asked for authentic British fish 'n' chips today, so that was one of our goals. We wound up stopping in Skegness at a takeout place (Cod and Cockerel) to get some nommy Fish 'n' chips. YUMMMMM.... so tasty, if so bad for you.
I'm having a lovely time with my wolfie. Yay!
