Vegas Vacation, Day 1
This represents our first day here - no bridge in this update...just Lori and I having fun together ...
Howdy gang. Lori and I arrived in Vegas Tuesday morning - and our flight was 16 minutes early. It was a great, uneventful flight of only 4.5 hours. Yikes. We passed the time playing crossword puzzles and watching episodes from House, M.D., season one.
We catch our shuttle to the Sahara and check-in. Wow - the mighty have fallen. The Sahara really is a hell hole - but the price was incredibly right. And they have incredibly cheap dinner buffets ☺. So we drop off our stuff and decide to walk around the strip - now, Sahara is basically the end of the north end of the strip (only stratosphere is further north). We walked down to about the area of the Mirage and we realized how freakin tired we were. So we walked back to the Sahara enjoying our $1.00 margaritas and jumped into the pool.
Hung out there for a bit, had a great night at the Hilton’s night club called ‘Tempo.’ The ‘scenery’ was splendid. The servers were … wow. Anyway…whew. Ask Jam about it, he was there, too…
So our first day comes to a close. Looking forward to a lot of fun Wednesday - and some bridge - the GNTs start tomorrow… here’s hoping for the best.
