Dream Log

Actually managed to remember a large and oddly entertaining chunk of my dreams just now as I woke up... the farthest back I can remember was taking some sort of tour through New York City, I remember being on a hoverbus of some sort with my tourgroup as we saw the colossal white monument to the fallen of 9/11, and we saw the Statue of Liberty in partial deconstruction as she was being moved to a different location... I remember seeing her head floating in the water or maybe on a barge. We whisked along the shoreline where these colossal lattices of pipes or tubes were being constructed in preparation for a rise in sea level... as we pulled into the airport to go home, I lost my balance and fell off onto a darkened airport platform. I tried to get back to my flight but accidentaly triggered an alarm for going into the wrong security section of the airport! I ended up being detained and my flashlight taken from me by some incredibly rude policemen in a maze of underground passages where they apparently lived. After determining I wasn't a threat, they let me go and didn't tell me where the exit was. I had to collect my things that they'd scattered around all while they hurled insults at me. I eventually managed to find the exit, a sort of secret entrance to their underground home, but John Belushi kept following me and insulting me as I ran off with my things towards a familiar hotel. After crossing a park, I lost my patience and went back to confront him. I asked if he was John Travolta, he said no and I punched him in the face. He looked like he was sorry and we parted ways. I entered a huge Marketplace and nearly got lost again, but I happened to run across Colin Mocherie getting upset with foam planters. I joked about seeing him on Whose Line is it Anyways, and introduced myself. He suddenly had a full head of hair instead of being bald after I made a bald joke. There was some weird writing on a wall as we talked and I think there were a couple other people around, but we decided to get a drink together. We found a secluded little shop that was run by an old woman, and she presented me with a mystical book that I was destined to receive. The marketplace broke up into individual shop/ships floating on an endless blue ocean, and the old woman said we needed to follow them to the sky! There was a brief montage of the entire 'movie' that I was going through, where I met and defeated various unsavory types of sea and air pirates, and it ended with a brief chase scene in the sky, amidst the tattered remains of a colossal zeppelin... I achieved the necessary requirements, and evolved into a higher being, sort of like a quicksilver Mewtwo. I could fly endlessly through the endless blue sky freely, and lived on the first morning's sunbeams. This came back to the false 'beginning' of my dream, where I suddenly 'remembered' a scene where the cold wind was blowing through an outdoor Japanese toy shop at dawn. The air was frosty even though it was summer, and a few toy whistles were making noises in the wind. The voiceover said there was a legend of a being that flew through the skies, and lived on the dawn's light. That was why every so often, the morning would be chilled and foggy, and you could hear the wind whistling through the streets. I had come 'full circle' from the beginning of this 'movie' and ended it on the high note of wind whistling through a toy flute. I think I saw someone look at the flute and smile knowingly, then I woke up!

Of course, there was a ton more detail than what I've managed to blearily type out here. This all made perfect, rational sense as it unfolded as dreams are wont to, yet now looks and feels like an unintelligible garble of mixmatched memories and fragmented farce. Dreams are weird like that... but I wish I could remember them like this more often.
