Hey, Look! I'm Alive!
So, it's been forever since I've posted. Something along the lines of a couple months, I think (didn't check.) School's out, and the semester went pretty well. I managed a 3.67 or .66 or something average for it, but I had to write more papers than ever before in my life. That's what taking five English classes in a semester will do to you.
I got to taste the sting of defeat again for the first time in ages when I lost a creative writing contest. It really got me down, actually, probably because the person who came in first was in my class, won third place in poetry and then first place in fiction on top of it. And the girl who came in third for fiction was also in my class. Bah.
What else... Rob went back to Texas. I guess he just couldn't hack the academic life, despite his obscene intelligence. My friends and I barbequed the last week of school, which was tasty and awesome. Jenna came to visit in late April. I submitted a story to a collection being compiled by the guy who does Dinosaur Comics (qwantz.com. They're pretty funny, if you like absurdist/intellectual humor.)
Plans for the summer include: submitting stories to publishers, continuing to wake myself up at 6 to go running (two days in a row, so far,) playing lots of video games, helping my dad remodel my grandmother's house, barbeque some more, and read. Also, redo my room. It's too crowded.
