Generation two is better, just hella embarrassing. I will be replacing up to generation four on this journal, because until gen4 there are significant changes in the story line. All the major important things (vamp council, cure, Echo/Lukas etc) will still happen. Hopefully that isn't too confusing.*
You miss nothing important if you start at generation two - if you want to start sooner, either start late generation three or generation six.

Generation One
Find it on my tumblr here[Generation One Summary] JJ and Jessie Williams (who featured in my first legacy, the Williams, and began this one - hence the name Spin Off Legacy) gave birth to triplets - Skye, Summer and Faye - and then later to twins - Loxley and Liam. Faye was chosen Heir and married Kane, a childhood friend (although most of her childhood was spent irritating him because he refused to befriend her).
Loxley had a tutor named Lukas at one stage, and became good friends with him. However, Lukas had to leave abruptly for some reason and Loxley never found out why. Generation Two

Law was a genius, graduating high school by the time he was a teenager and celebrating this by going to China for holiday. He was interested in martial arts there, and while his cousins explored, he became interested in something else. Or someone, for that matter. A boy by the name of Tarquin.
Law didn’t want to face his sexuality for a while, and it took him a long time to accept it. Chase, a boy who was openly gay, became one of his closest friends and they fell in love. However, Law was held back by the knowledge that any children they had ‘together’ would not be theirs entirely - until he found mention of a man named Lukas Smith in an online article talking about a breakthrough in same sex parenting.
When Law finished university, he began to work with Lukas on his project and, after a long explanation, on his side project - a vampire cure.
Lukas had soon explained his problem. He needed to become human because the laws that the corrupt Vampire Council had in place meant he would be free of his crimes - crimes against the Council only applied to people who were vampires, or their vampiric next of kin. He was on the run for his life, no less, and he needed this as soon as possible.
They worked on the cure, and while Lukas was over so much, he and Echo became close. Then, when she invited him to her eighteenth birthday party, the bartender made a special drink to encourage romance which they both foolishly accepted. This was Lukas’ first drink as a human in a while, because not long before Law had cracked it and made a vampire cure.
Echo became pregnant, and as soon as Law found out he was furious. He refused Lukas’ help on the same sex parents project, and his relationship with Chase suffered as a result. However, he later forgave Lukas when the ex-vampire stayed with Echo to help raise the triplets and later proposed when their relationship developed. There were multiple breakthroughs as soon as Lukas was back on the project and Law married Chase.
Generation Three

Lukas was determined to instill in them a wariness of vampires, for if they were ever to be Turned then his crimes would go to them, and they would be hunted down and punished for them.
Ayr befriended a girl called Cara and they were best friends all throughout their childhood. Quinn had a couple of ‘geeky’ friends that he hung out with and played Dungeons and Dragons with. Isabelle met a strange white haired boy at the park and kept going back to talk to him - not that anyone knew about Kian.
As they grew up, Echo became pregnant a final time with Shanna, named after her aunt’s character in her popular series. Ayr and Cara stayed close friends even when Cara started going out with a boy called Adam, who Ayr hated - not because he liked Cara in that way, but because Adam was an ass. No matter how many times they insisted that their friendship was entirely platonic, people didn’t believe them.
Quinn worked up the nerve to talk to Mia, a girl he had a crush on, and they became quick friends. Isabelle met Kian after years apart - Kian had disappeared one day when she was still a child. Their friendship also reformed quickly, and soon it developed into something more, as did Quinn and Mia’s relationship.
Shanna didn’t like to be separated from her parents at any time, but as she aged into a child that became a little better. Not long after, Kian had gone missing after seeing Lukas and remembering him from his past with the Council. Isabelle and Quinn were looking for him - and Quinn was the one to find him. Kian bit and accidentally Turned him, which was exactly what they didn't want to happen. As he adjusted to life as a hybrid vampire, with Mia pregnant with his child, Ayr was in town about to pick up Cara (also pregnant) after hearing her distraught voice on the phone about her ex, Adam, who was worrying her.
The council had moved in. Part One || Part Two || Part Three (the special covers Lukas and Chases' past, and fits best after chapter 10 where Lukas explains part of his past. This explains the rest!)
Adam had been Turned and was a vampire - Ayr would have been taken by him if not for Law saving him. Echo and Lukas knew about the Council being close and, now that Quinn was a vampire and so could be held accountable for Lukas' crimes, made a bargin. To erase Lukas' and his father's crimes with their lives. The Council had accepted, not revealing that their children had more than that on their heads - for Lukas' brother Quinn, (referred to as Q, and was their son's namesake) was still alive and was one of the most wanted for all his meddling with the Council. They gave their lives up and Q, when he learned of this, swooped in to save Shanna and try to help her. He taught her how to fight and how to use her Visions - which had been inherited from him - while also trying to save the triplets. As Shanna infiltrated a Council Building for data, she met Syn - a human with a vendetta against the Council. They began to work together. Then the Council took Quinn to hold him for the family crimes. Shanna, Syn and Q worked out how to free them and destroy the council buildings - especially when Isabelle and Ayr was also taken, and agreed to be Turned to share the burden of the crimes and so save their brother from death. As Isabelle was Turned, chaos erupted. Shanna and Syn had planted explosives but something had gone wrong - they had triggered a chain reaction. As a fight began, some ran out, and some didn't - Shanna and Syn were one of the few that made it out, as she was voted heir.
Shanna and Syn eventually find their way to civilisation after running away from the burning Council buildings. There, Shanna remembers one of Q's safe houses - and so they make their way there. Quinn answers the door and Shanna is elated to have found her family after months of anxiety induced health problems. Isabelle is revealed to be struggling with her bloodlust - which is something they need to help her with before she gives birth to Kian's child - and both Mia and Cara live with them. Mia and Quinn's child is called Dova, and Cara's child is Korra - who has Ayr's blue eyes and dark hair. Shanna learns that Quinn had medled with Cara and Ayr's platonic relationship and so she was pregnant with Ayr's child, and not Adam's. He had hoped it was to give Ayr something to fight for, but it was too late - he had been lost in the fighting. Shanna took some time to get over her guilt. Isabelle slowly recovered, though the blood lust was so strong for her that she couldn't spend much time in the house with humans. She gave birth to a girl called Risa and soon Shanna also had a child - Fury. The four children were more siblings than cousins. Q, in an attempt to protect them from the claws of the Council, infused them with power that went horribly wrong. The children were combined with four of the seven sins - Lust, Wrath, Envy and Pride. They saw them as imaginary friends, and although they affected each other, for now they seemed to be quiet. As the four grew up, they learned what they could from Quinn and their great uncles Law and Chase, who Quinn had Turned upon their request. They learned about four teams that Quinn and others were getting together - teams that he hoped one day would bring down the Council. With their unknown powers, they were determined to sign up and help. Here they met eight other teenagers. Arcadia and Finn, who were as close as siblings, Keely and Autumn, who were half sisters, Xander, Tore and finally Ven and Briony, who were twins. They had each been through the Council's horrors, and were determined to use their varying powers to put an end to them. As they learned how to fight, how to get out of situations, how to use guns and other weapons, they grew closer to their friends. Korra liked the company of Tore and Xander over the girls (especially Tore's company) and soon Risa was falling for Xander. Dova was head over heels for Briony instantly, which made him and Ven argue almost daily. Fury... was having too much trouble with his Sin to have a real relationship with Keely. He was bonded with Lust, and eventually decided that until he could control his Sin, he couldn't be with Keely. Over time the Sins gave them problems, but they worked through them. Eventually, Dova began to understand Ven more and more, and the half-wolf slowly opened up to him. He became part of their small pack. Then the Council struck. How they found the camps, it isn't known, but the teenagers used everything they had to get to safety. Ven was struck by a silver stake saving Dova, and as he succumbed to the poison, admitted to Dova that he loved him. The teenagers were moved to a safe house. Dova refused to get out of bed until Quinn promised him that Ven was alive - just in a coma. While Dova worked to break him out of it, the wounded recovered and they began to plot. When everyone was at their full strength, they attacked. All four teams, after careful planning, had different tasks. Our team moved in to take out as many of the vampires as they could. They also had the task to destroy information - which they almost didn't accomplish, as they were found. Dova, however, broke away from the group in a moment of chaos to destroy the files. When trying to regroup, he was captured by the Council and tortured for information (the chapters have trigger warnings). Ven was also taken when trying to find Dova. They tossed Dova into the cell with Ven, hoping that the blood starved half-vampire would attack, but he managed to control himself. They broke out and escaped to an area outside which held medical items and weapons for the teenagers to access. They realised that the fight had moved outside and went to help. Korra had accidentally been lost from her group, too. She was badly hurt and believed she would be killed when a vampire approached her - he seemed familiar, however, and she realised that her father was not dead. Ayr helped her to safety. The battle went on and finally, after Finn's last stand, slowly died. The tallies were counted - Keely and Finn had fallen, as well as Briony. In the aftermath that followed, Ven and Dova both struggled with the loss, and what the council had done to them. Generation Five
The next few months that followed were difficult. While Dova withdrew into himself, watching reruns on TV and dealing with PTSD alone, Ven lashed out or found ways to numb himself - whether with drink, nicotine or other men. When Dova began to recover, he also began to try and help Ven. As soon as some progress was made, Wrath returned. At first Dova didn't notice. He was easily confused and had a high temperature, and was very tired. When he fainted, Ven became distraught and called Quinn to help. Wrath, using Dova's weaknesses, was trying to take a physical body. This was unlike what had happened with the other Sins - Fury, Korra and Risa had all combined with theirs peacefully. While Ven grieved, Dova fought for control. When he did eventually win, he made Ven swear to get help - and so they began to recover. With all this happening, they didn't always get updated on the news with the Council. They had won and sympathisers were being tracked down. Quinn was approached by the Elite - an old group of vampires claiming to be working for the better - and asked to create a new, fairer Council which represented all supernaturals. When the worst was over, Ven was eager for a pack. They worked with Law, who had produced scientific methods for same sex couples to have children years before, and had Ares, then Netalia, and later Elyssia. They also took Seats on the Council. Ares was a born leader and it soon became obvious that he was eager to become the Alpha after Ven - and that he would excel at it. While Elyssia dreamed of having a Seat on the Council like her fathers, Netalia was more interested in Kit, her close friend, until he moved away sometime later. Elyssia became friends with Cam, a local werewolf, until the day came when they met with their parents. Cameron turned out to be Mal's son, and until she came to terms with it, she avoided him. Meanwhile, Ven and Dova looked into Kit's quick departure, knowing something wasn't quite right. Ares became close friends with Jason - Quinn's youngest son - and Marie, later getting to know her sister Eve. While Netalia had a six month relationship with a human boy, Scott, that ended badly, Ares began to work with a group of teenagers that were stiring up the ghost world. Erica, Logan and Alison. He got on with them well (especially Erica) but it didn't take long until he realised that Erica and Logan were using this as a way to escape from their broken homes. Logan, who had the worst home life, moved in with them. Meanwhile, Jason met Aurora, a strange girl who he had dreamed of. He Turned her and then started getting to know her and her strange past. Elyssia and Cameron grew close once more while Mal became worse and worse. Just as Ven realised why Kit's mother had moved so quickly - her ex husband had become heavily depressed after they had lost their daughter to a car crash, who had later committed suicide - Kit returned. The pack grew closer and stronger. As Jason found out more about Aurora and Ares fell in love with Eve, Mal struck. He kidapped Ven and was prepared to kill him until Cameron, his heir, stopped him. As Quinn and the Council threw him in jail, Mal tossed Cam out of his pack - and he would have been an Omega if Ven hadn't welcomed him. As Kit and Netalia started to go out, a shocking secret came to light - his sister, who had died when she was ten, was called Aurora. Rory had been killed by the car but her father had dabbled with the supernatural to save her - which had only half worked. She was stuck as a ghost, aging but never moving on. When the ghost world became riled up she found she could walk around and that supernaturals could touch her. When she was Turned, she became fully corporeal. Kit and Aurora were reunited. Elyssia was voted heir.
Generation Six

As tensions rose between the Roys and the Williams, he realised he had to make a move to stop the war that was erupting between the three allied Roy packs and the packs standing with the Truns. He played his part but only survived because his friend William Trun took the bullet met for him; the Alpha of the Roys was killed by Ares and the youngest of Cam's brothers (Leo) was given the power - as he was the born Alpha of that pack. They were forced to move away and never unite power under them again. Leo has since reshaped the Roys into a more respected pack.
The twins were born - Emily and Lauren. As they aged it was clear they suffered from the same dampened instincts that Cam did, but for Emily it was much more intense. She acted as if Lauren was much higher in the heirarchy of the pack than the Alpha. Years later, Lauren no longer trained with Quinn and the council, but Emily continued hers in agreement with Quinn so that he would let her continue to learn how to hack things. They met their best friends at high school: Cassy and Owen.
At around the same time, Lauren met a boy. His name was Nyc, and Emily decided from that alone that she didn't trust him. After results on the web turned up nothing, she stumbled across a piece of information that changed her life. Nyctimus was Lycaon's son. He was from Ancient Greece, and his soul was bound to time. He was here to reverse what his father did to him.
Out of a desire to protect Lauren, Emily worked with Nyc to find the items they needed to unbind his soul from time - with some help from Quinn, everything was set up.
There was, of course, a problem - or two. Lauren was the one needed to perform the ritual because Nyc had recognised her as the Pure One stated in his prophecy. She found out about Nyc's history in the worst way - the death of Ares, the Alpha of their pack. The beings hunting Nyc - the Old Ones, forerunners to the vampires - had killed him. Betrayed, Lauren eventually broke up with Nyc and began to get closer to Owen, who had trained with the Council for a year specifically to come with them.
Everything in place, they performed the heist.
Nyc had been wrong: Lauren was not the Pure One. That became clear when she killed a vampire in cold blood. It was Emily that realised she could do the ritual - after Nyc had abandoned her in a side-tunnel in a bad attempt to protect her from his (literally) suicide mission. When Em, Owen and Lu caught up with him - at the hands of the vampires - they managed to distract the Old Ones' minions long enough for Em to perform a ritual. Once done, Emily activated a mysterious device that Quinn had given her and they were transported to an old warehouse. Lauren realised that more was going on with Emily and Nyc when they reached for each other, but Emily values Lauren above everything else (except the fate of the world). How will each of them come to terms with what happened?
