(no subject)
So for the past week I've been visiting relatives (or at least one side of the family; my parents' parents all divorced and remarried, so I have like four sets of grandparents and its exhausting) and it's been awesome. I visit these ones the most, even though they live like two days drive away (come to think of it they're my closest relatives), but even so I only see them once a year. I'm talking about my dad's mum and step-dad (fun fact! he didn't know his step dad wasn't his real dad until he was 21. My dad's life could have a book written about it, jeez) and today I saw my step-uncle David, step-auntie Caroline and her husband Gary (we fondly call him Uncle G). I love these guys so much. This week has been great.
I'm kind of just writing this because I don't often make non-sims posts, so here you are. Also, I wanted something up to let you guys know that I've got half the chapter's pictures taken and I'll get the rest on thursday when I'm back, hopefully. I'll work hard to update once more after that, and then I'll be in Uni (so excited!) so I'll play it by ear. Who knows, you may have more text posts like this while I settle into uni. Idk.
Spending time with these guys had made me realise why I write Ven and Dova as they are. All of my family here, and even my dad and mum all banter with playful insults like they do. All of them are so full of cheek, and it's always fun to spend time with them!
What else? Hmmm... I've done a whole lot of shopping, a whole lot of walking and a whole lot of eating (what is it with grandma's and overfeeding??). And I've also been thinking about generation six. I'm nothing if not organised...
And that's not all! I also met up with the wonderful tale_legacy (because she doesn't live too far away from my grandparents!) and we spent a few hours together. It was pretty awesome :P She's just as evil in person ;D I'd put a photo in but I can't connect my phone up atm.
Oh and the house I'm staying at (my dad's rich friend) has a bathroom with muthafukin heated floors, maaaaan. And a shower you could get lost in. So awesome.
Tomorrow I leave, we're driving for eight or nine hours until we get a good way into the journey, and then we'll stop overnight and on Wednesday we do the last few hours and flop back home where the cats will be excited to see us. I miss them, but it's helped that there are also four cats here who are all ADORABLE and actually get on. They're so cute. Ugh. I keep waking up to cats sleeping next to me. It's awesome.
And THEN I only have nine days until I leave for Uni... fegiwbowhiefsd
