(Ask me why I always use Paramount's logo for my own. 8) )
Another day of "Red Hearts" and "Pink Love" passes. Couples are seen together and some of the lonely folks gripe and complain about how lonely they are. But, if you ask me, it's mainly about "loving what you do." And what I do is collect Transformers.
Today's G375: Transformer PowerComb Doubleclutch w/ Rallybots and Mudslinger w/ Destructrons (again, but hopefully better).
Now... The Power Core Combiners (shortened to "PowerComb") are an extremely odd lot. They're "Scout-Class Figures." Some of them run the risk of DAMNAGE. And they also have a multitude of defects; whether they're mode is vehicle, robot, or main body.
The Microns turn into weapons and armor. They're not that easy to damage, but I was hoping that the AWESOMAGE orz "Targetmaster" era would come back.
The drones that form the arms and legs? Half the time, they don't work. They get stuck, and they're also easy to damage.
Word has it that one guy was thrown out of the convention meeting for mentioning the PowerCombs. Another is that they're "just for kids." (Yeah. You're gonna give China plates to bulls. Good one.) But, as a Transformer fan from the start, there's a certain need of appreciation for them. They're not that wack-@$$ Activator line, or that other one where the vehicles just have weapons popping out of them. I mean, really...
- Smolder, for all I know, could be an updated Misfire (from the Headmaster series).
- Huffer had been upgraded from a complaining "industrial gopher" to a complaining "potential wrecker truck."
- Icepick is ICY!! HE'S MAYTAG REFRIGERATOR FROZEN!!
- Doubleclutch? Is that the name of that recent GI Joe figure?
So yeah. One of the Beatles was right; all you DO need is love. I need WORK, but hey.
