Not "unemployed," but it damn well feels like it.
Don't you just hate when your boss losses the lot of good contracts? And you can't find work because of this.
Not to say that it's the fault of the boss, per say. It's the economy; the local / city / state / federal government doesn't have the money to pay who they wish to pay. Hell; they can't even pay to keep their own police forces.
And to top it all off; I still haven't settled in to my new nest yet. So yeah.
Right now, I'm signing up for unemployment, "Job Connect," and food stamps. And (as I said before to myself) if mom wasn't financially helping me out, it would be 10 times more difficult.
The last thing I needed was a reason to complain, be depressed, or go down that road traveled by the late nite animu otaku base. Why... A while ago, some guy on the Anime News Network forum discussed to me about how viewers of "character assassination" animu are "actually normal, every-day people." Because, you know. That was the topic. ("People watch Clannad for the chicks, not to see Youhei's stupid @$$ get beaten up for being a stupid @$$.")
In truth, the real topic was how Tokyo's governor introduced a law regulating THE $#17 OUT OF the animu, mango, and life sims that end up in the hands of children (where most of the money comes from). And it's also about how everybody and their pet cat is calling him everything under the sun with half of it being true.
Also: If I wanted to see chicks, I'd watch hentai. If I wanted to see someone's poor @$$ get beaten up, I'd remember my own childhood. But I merely wanted to see "grey area anime" that I shouldn't have throw away whenever the next big thing comes around. Unfortunately, that's what Japan's animu industry seems incapable of doing. Instead, it wants to be a little bitch about how it's comfortable "bottom of the barrel" is being shaken up. "Climbing upward" isn't exactly the hardest thing to do; but it is for the animu industry.
But enough about the problems of the world. Let's move on to something that's a bit more AWESOMEAGE orz.
