The coffee was a bit sweeter than he was used to. Kaiba inhaled the brew, experimentally sipped it again and tilted his head to one side in thought.
“Have you figured it out yet?” Jounouchi was smirking expectantly at him from across the table with laced fingers over his nose.
“It’s sweet. Brown sugar?”
“No.”
“White sugar?”
“Wrong again.”
“Cane sugar?”
“Nope.”
Kaiba racked his brains, trying to come up with a suitable sweet ingredient, but then decided to relinquish his pride. If only for a moment. “Then what is it? It’s obviously something sweet.”
“Cinnamon.” Jounouchi supplied triumphantly.” I win!” He threw his arms in the air. “So let’s go to the beach next Sunday. I’ll call Yuugi and the others to come with us.”
“… fine.” Kaiba heaved a sigh and made a mental note to take the next Sunday off. Secretly he was sort of glad to lose Jounouchi’s taste challenge. Which means, next Sunday he could have Jounouchi all to himself again.
Now… how will he keep Yuugi and the others from tagging along as well?
