I finally gave into this kind of scene, instead of the comical ending of the original draft.

I think that was a wise decision. Maybe it's the mood I'm in, but I liked it being a little bittersweet.

The transition from something sad to crack is way out of my league. I was worried about the lack of feeling in the drabble, so it's kind of a relief that the first part turned out okay.

This ending fits the feel of the piece much better. It has a bittersweet, longing to it that does not readily lend itself to humor. This is a gorgeous drabble, light and gentle like the series itself.

I was really worried I might have done Gen injustice writing him here, and there's also the weird ending. D: Bittersweet is nice. I hope.
