I have waaay too much work to do today. Why, oh why, did I decide to party and play all of yesterday?
I went to the Rio Swim Banquet, where I got the Mike Troy Award! Yay! Its an award where basically, you were a very good role model throughout the year, both performance based and character based. I had forgotten that I've gotten that award before... I'll have to remember to add it to my brag sheet. Plus, the idea of yourself being good enough to get an award in an area is always good.
Next on my activities was Carl's birthday party. It was a lot of fun, my friend. Between playing poker, DDR, and pool without pool sticks... yes, it was fun. And there really was a roasted pig there, which I am not sure if anyone actually ate... It was actually kinda sad, because the head was still there. Heads make everything so much more personal. I can see why in ancient times, when someone's head was cut off, they believed the soul wasnt put to rest... Besides the point.
Darel and I managed to drag Carl into the pool as well... I am so glad that I brought a jacket, because my shirt was white. It had patterns on it, so you couldn't really see anything, but still! It was fun, Carl needed it, I guess Darel and I both deserved it, so all's well that... lol... ends well.
On the more sobering side, my Grandma is now in the hosiptal with a failing heart, so please keep her in your hearts.
