What a Summer..
When we last left off, I was raving about watermelon.. lets see where we are now!
- Just put $4,000 on a card, to help buy krdbuni a car..
- Just signed a for a $12,000 or so loan for that same car. That is, I'm buying it technically, and Kristy's the co-signer. This should help get her credit back to normal!
- In the process, I learned I've a Credit Score just shy of 800 (in a range between 400 and 900). Doing this will help, ultimately, keep it up there.
- Well, actually, its a wagon! AWD, really spacious, and half its original cost, 10k miles, a year old, we feel good about this. It has another 5 years of warranty and service protection. No worries about me having the car during the day now!
- Visiting home next month, somewhere between the 14th and 20th probably, or as late (unlikely) as the 23rd of September! 24th of September, the next quarter of college starts. mmsword, bgm_099, and anyone else on the East Coast, want to get together for stuff?
- My parents wish me to buy computer parts to upgrade my father and my brother's computer while I am visiting. In doing so, I should be able to do a few minor upgrades to my own household hardware and the media PC, while making my family happy at the same time.
- 2 courses in special topics (both by a single professor, an experiment..), 1 in comparative political economies with a professor I love. MW from 1:15 to 3:20, and TTh from 1:15 to 3:20, then 5:45 to 7:50 pm! All late enough in the day that I don't go mad!
- I am a Husky Promise Student! That is, at /least/ my tuition is totally paid for by grants which I do not have pay back! Its all payed off, and its going to be all paid off! It was all worth it, all the work I did to get to this point. I might even have more grants atop for my GPA. :D
- Laptop DVD-RW drive broke JUST outside of the warranty! And desktop DVD drive all dead, too. Will get this fixed. Anyone have experience with Lightscribe type drives? Are they neat?
- Might have some leeway to run an online game for the old version of Werewolf: The Apocalypse. Not everyone's cup of tea, I know, but its the one I've the most interest in, the most research in. When I lived at home, I would treat myself to going out once a week, and eating Chinese food. I would either purchase a new World of Darkness book of some sort at the Barnes and Nobles before going to nibl (or an intro to Philosopher-X book), or I would bring one with so I could study up more.
- I might also have time to join in anyone else's game!
- Something I ate is eating me back at the moment, though. Sick stomach most of the weekend. Ugh. No Chinese and Philosophy for me today.
- Can anyone reccomend a GPS unit? I'm doing research on them for an eventual purchase, not my own but for Kristy's new car. :)
