Sergio is like, that half of Iker that Iker doesn't really listen to until someone points it out
Yes. Completely. I actually toyed with the idea of them dating/but-mostly-fucking-around when they first started school and then mutually realizing, like, lolll this is not going to work, let's just be bros. I'm glad I didn't do that, but yeah, it ties into this idea--they're an old married couple, in a lot of ways. Iker gets grouchy and Sergio won't put up with his shit, but he's always there for him. He understands Iker in a way other people don't.
And then Cesc is that other half of Iker, that like-what’s the word? He's like the part of Iker that Iker likes to take control of (obviously), but he's also that part that reminds Iker to live his life, and not just got through the motions.
Yes to this too. Because while Iker really likes Sergio-well, he loves Sergio, but in a different way, you know-he wouldn't do half of the shit he does for Cesc for Sergio. …That is so awkwardly worded, ay yi, but yeah. Sergio pushes him in the right direction, but Cesc is the fire under his ass that makes him want to do the right thing, even if he mixes up what the right thing is sometimes. Ha, this personality-part-characters thing is starting to feel distinctly Dostoevskian, but I did want it to be there.
Unai is like that little snarky part of Iker
Haha, yes. Like when Cesc says "He reminds me of you" and it seems kind of out of the blue. Iker doesn't really outwardly act much like Unai at all, with the snark on 24/7--but it's totally there, under the surface. He’s making shit internal comments about people all the time. Cesc can read it, and thinks it's kind of funny.
Didn't Iker get annoyed with Cesc leaving the microwave like that?
my face right now, seriously. how even.
Yes. It's part of his control thing, ha, but it's also, like, HE NEEDS TO KNOW WHAT TIME IT IS. Responsibility! There are things he needs to do! He has this weird preoccupation with time.
