The screams of the dying and mourning are so easily heard from here. 'Tis both repulsing and comforting. I am grateful that it is not I in those streets below, dying and suffer as they do, but I cannot help but wish there was something I could do to thwart this madness.
Fai, it would be most appreciated if thou would return until this plague has finished its business in this City. Thou art hurt, and though we quarrel and thou doest not trust me, there is no disease here. For thy safety if nothing else, I plead thy compliance. Have Sir Kurogane and Lady Lilith accompany thee if it so pleases thee.
