Yeah, I know it's kinda early. IT'S THE RIGHT DAY HERE, SO THERE.

Ichigo is going to rescue Rukia.
That is his one and only goal in the world right now.
He knows, in his heart of hearts, that it’s a extremely silly venture, and that he’ll most likely die - but he also knows he’ll do it. There’s no way he can fail. He simply won’t let himself.
And if he has to go through those two bastards to do it, so much the better.
Because Ichigo’s a big brother, and he has a big brother’s pride. A big brother’s protective streak. A big brother’s outrage. And while he hasn’t really known Rukia all that long, she’s as dear to him as Yuzu and Karin.
Ichigo is going to rescure Rukia, and be damned any fool who steps in his path.
Renji doesn’t know what he’s going to do.
He knows what he should do. He knows what he wants to do. He knows he can’t do both.
So, as always, he tries to do what Rukia wants.
He quiets his heart, and does what he should, because he thinks this is what Rukia wants. But he can feel himself growing angrier, and he knows it won’t be long until he stops doing what he should, and does what he wants.
Because Renji’s a stray dog and he knows it, and even though he doesn’t know what he’s going to do, what would be best for him to do, he does know he really, really wants to punch something.
