Bunch of things: resolution of last night's freakout, LJ, pie, NaNo
So! She ended up calling me this morning, before they opened (so, obviously, before I could call her; before they open you just get a recorded message, I have had to call early before and yeah), and I think things are fixed up! Yay! Said she'd send me a letter with new appointment time, double yay! So. Yes. Things seem to be okay.
I finally deleted my facebook account today. I've never used it more than adding people and making happy birthday messages - if you weren't here, I was required to make one as part of my exchange program (IDEK), which is the only (reason I ever had one - but the fact that I was theoretically there though I think the last time I actually used it for anything was this time last year, when Sibling was having that breakdown and needed to get in contact with the ex and say you're not helping fuck off for a bit, more or less) was really making me feel icky and gross and it's clearly not a thing I need in my life, so. Gone!
On a similar note, this will be the last post I crosspost to LJ, unless someone gives me a really, really good reason why. I've kept on keeping on, not because it seems to be any sort of benefit to me - it's pretty much talking into the void, at this point - but it's easy and there's a few people on there that don't have DW accounts, to my knowledge. And hey! I like you people! I don't want to lose contact with you! So I figured the least I can do is check my FL daily and and crosspost. But with the new friends page redesign going on, I don't even want to put that minimal effort in any more. I just. It's getting like facebook, see above, except that it's something I actually kind of care about. :(
But yeah. I'll keep reading my FL until they force the redesign, but after that I'm done. Deleting my bookmark bar shortcut, not logging in, and following XKCD here instead. If any of you have DW accounts, PLEASE TELL ME WHAT THEY ARE. Or if you're on Tumblr, give me your username!
I might even be convinced to pick up twitter, if that's the only alternative, though I wouldn't rely on that. (The only other reason I can think of for a twitter account is for the iOS TWEWY linking. Because ahahahahahaha best game/social media combo ever!)
ON A COMPLETELY UNRELATED NOTE, I made chocolate mousse marshmallow pie today. :3
The mousse split - though it did set - so I don't know how it'll be, and there's no pictures yet because settiiiiiing oooooverniiiiight, but yes. Chocolate mousse marshmallow pie. Dear world: you are sometimes completely fantastic.
(Making marshmallow was easy as fuck, btw. I was REALLY SURPRISED. Takes slightly over 15 minutes (using an electric handmixer; I wouldn't want to manually mix this up. But if you're awesome at that, maybe?), with four ingredients, two of which are water. Yup. (Two because normal and boiling, heh.) The not-set stuff tastes like melted marshmallow, so. Yeah, high hopes! Will let you know~)
ALSO HI LOOK AT THAT DATE. It is NOVEMBER FIRST.

I did write some sci fi OP AU tonight, because Az and I were talking about it last week, and so it was in my head. But the rest of that 'verse isn't very wordy - it's basically a space age epistolary. So. You know. A lot more SMS/voicemail/video message style stuff rather than actual letters. (Space age email is also an option, but Shanks isn't so likely to do that. He is way, waaaay more twitter and tumblr than DW. Waaaaay more.)
Don't know if I'll continue with it, will have to bounce things off Az, but yeah.
ANYWAY, first nanodate, whee~~ End of scene/chapter?, so that's why I didn't push it to an actual benchmark.

(Other things I will be counting for Nano: primary goal is 50K worth of novel editing, but also RP logs, daily translation, kh_100 drabbles, if they start up again in time, and any other fic I write. Only shooting for 50K, honestly, though if I can do 50K prose + 50K editing I'll be pretty damn happy. But I have other things to do this month, like look for a job, and get most of my knitting done. And oh, fuck, find a Christmas present for Sibling afore Giant South American Trip, that is. Getting close, actually, damn.)
ALSO because as stated I don't really have any idea what to write, OPEN SEASON PROMPT TIME GO. Any prompts are fine, but I do best with fandom: phrase, with characters an added bonus, rather than single word style prompts. Strongest fandoms are, as ever, KH! Also One Piece, xxxHolic, can probably still do Yuugiou, worldbuilding pokémon not related to any canon characters ever, FMA?, Detective Conan and Magic Kaito (I cannot write mysteries. I can't FIGURE OUT mysteries), maybe Homestuck? If you've seen me ramble about it, there's a good chance I'll try! If not, am totally okay with you asking!
I can't promise I'll do anything and everything, but I'll promise I'll try and at least do a drabble! And if it's something I know won't work for me I'll say straight away, rather than leave you hanging. <3
