Busy day!
Went wool shopping with Mama and uh um. ¬¬;; I might have bought 15 balls of a shiny purple I have no actual use for. I think I'll make a hoodie! But yeah, um. No actual concrete plan. ¬¬;;; (ON THE UPSIDE it was $1/ball, and holy shit it is so soft. SO. SOFT. But yeaah, uh. ¬¬;;
I also bought wool for presents, which I needed to do, and was able to do cheap~ I think the first thing I'm going to make is this stripy scarf for A, which is a little different, but still stylish? Which she likes. Not in Noro, of course, even on sale two balls of Noro is probably more than I paid all up today, ahahaha. In Lincraft Surprise, in 'aubergine' and 'bright mix', which basically purples and some other colours, and orange and some other colours. Should look good! ...I have been eyeing this wool for SOME TIME because the colours are EXCELLENT (much better than the photos! MUCH), but hadn't had anything to use it for. But then I figured OH HEY A LIKES BRIGHT COLOURS, and also stripes might be fun? And 50% off, so. :3 Perfect storm, yes? Yes.
Still need to find a pattern for my father's socks. Have investigated his shoes! They are size 13 (14US). Yeah. Um. *sigh*
lizcommotion linked me to a variable size chart, but that only went up to 11. =/ (I only want to make him plain socks, which I guess is a plus? But yeah. Biiig.)
And THEN, despite the anxiety brainweasels flaring up (driving! going places! people I don't know!) and just not feeling like going out and being social, went to a dessert party at E's. It was... okay? Only knew E, and her husband a very little bit, but it was all right? No one I feel any need to meet again, but it was okay. And I did get to see E, which was good. (Was kinda weird to be at her house when she was, though! |D;;;)
Though what *was* really nice was that being a non-drinker was a complete non-issue. I often feel kind of uneasy when everyone else is drinking but me, but this wasn't bad at all! :D Just goes to show it's the people, more than anything...
Anyway, now am going to bed, yes. Not cast one A's scarf. Nope, that would be bad.
