Seriously, what. Woke up feeling wayheaps better and productive and yeah. Oh brain. This time, at least, I didn't let that stop me from calling up Centrelink. They put me onto a social worker, who had to call back - the guy on the phone said 'in three hours', but I think he mighta been confuzzed, because it was about six hours, which was about 3 o'clock. So. But anyway, the social worker was really nice, and now I have a few places to start looking for things. That... kind of used up all my calling people energy today, and also most of the day! But still. Is done, and I fell good about having that.
I also found an awesome-looking job, and applied for it. >: Hopefully I'll get it~~ It's only two days a week and doesn't say exp essential, maybe I have a chaaance~~
Translating! I <3 Aqua so much. SO AWESOME. And also so awkward about offering her feet up for a diversion in Castle of Dreams; the novel goes into her head a bit and makes it obvious that she was really, REALLY not comfortable with the idea of even trying the slipper on. Even though she knew it wasn't its intended. She's also the only one to use 女 to refer to femininity, which I find interesting. Not quite sure how to translate it in the polished version, yet, but I'm thinking 'a female'; it's that little bit coarser than 女性, which I've been translating as woman; 'female' is the only thing I can think of that's coarser but not actually rude in English. If you have any ideas, though, let me know~ <3

cluegirl is promoting hir book release! It's called One Saved to the Sea, and from the blurb it's about selkies! With a female MC! Possibly it's also f/f!
It's a pornbook (or, well, erotica, but), which is not my thing, but it looks like it could be really fun if it is for you! The promotion post is here, but it's apparently available at pretty much all the places to buy ebooks, and it's ~$4USD. So it's not fanfic-cheap, but hey! SELKIES! :D :D :D
Anyway, I don't know Cluegirl at all, but it looked like something that some of you might be interested in, so hey!
