IT CAME IT CAME IT CAAAAAME~!! IT IS AMAZING I AM SURPRISED AND SO SO HAPPY!
...of course if I don't want to fuck up my 3DS' battery, I have to charge it for 24 hours before playing, so I'm dutifully doing that. :x WAITING. PATIENTLY. Ffffff. But I can play tomorrow afternoon~!!! *FLAILDANCE!!!!*
It's so pretty! SO PRETTY. I took photos of the unboxing, but I haven't uploaded them, 'cause I've been BUSY today!
I didn't quite meet my goals from yesterday - I haven't finished my handwarmer. But I did fix the fuckup(s; I found another on the way), and I went to the shops (twice, actually; I forgot that I'd need a local DS charger. Damn you, Japan-USA parallel prongs!), and I finished the Lion King chapter for
pageaday.
I ALSO: • baked! These banana-choc chip-oat bikkies came up on my network page, and rather than go 'I should make them some day!' I went 'we have bananas that need using! And we still have banana cupcakes left! I should make them TODAY!' (I did the version with rolled oats, instead of oat flour, and also normal bleached flour instead of whole grain, because that's what we had, and I didn't feel like lugging flour along with the other things I bought. Also oat flour would've meant a trip to the baking shop, which is far away from everywhere else.)
Verdict: DELICIOUS. A bit unusual, and the batter tastes kinda funny, 'cause of the olive oil (I might try with butter, next time; I don't really like using oil in baking, Iono why. Maybe I just like dairy, quite possibly my mother's fried is evil! has rubbed off a bit, sigh), but once they're done, VERY TASTY. Loooots of choc-chips, and the oats give a bit of texture without making them hard and crunchy! And mmm, banana.
• In a similar vein, cleaned the kitchen! And made dinner again. My father: still not healthy. *sigh* Hopefully he'll be well enough to go up the country for the long weekend, but who knows, at this point.
• Talked to A on the phone, which is always at least a half-hour of your life you never get back. *rolls eyes*
• Wrote a KH/LoZ crossover drabble for
kh_100, which I'm really pleased with!
• Fended off TWO door-to-door people. :E
• Got a job interview! Okay, I didn't really have to do much but accept it, but! I got one! \o/ On Tuesday, hopefully it'll go well.
I'm really, really happy that I suddenly seem to be able to do things again! Lots of things! Yay mental energy, I missed you~ Please stay forever.
