Night Market~!

Went to the Night Market today! SO CROWDED. So, so crowded. BUT STILL AWESOME. Soooo many food stalls, and on a night where there was actually breathing room I'd probably have tried at least one strange new thing - there were curry-like dishes from all over! My parents had one from the Carribean, which they thought was fantastic, and there were some from Africa (not sure where), and Spain, and of course India etc. And other cool things! A lot of which I couldn't get close enough to try out, BUT REALLY THAT'S FINE, because I found the one Japanese stall, which was doing takoyaki and taiyaki. |D Which was surprisingly not busy, actually! most places had lines three people deep the whole way through, but I only had to wait for two people in front of me. Iono if they were quieter, or just more efficient. I think it could go either way, heh. But yes! DELICIOUS. |D Probably the wrong week to go, but hey. It was awesome.

Also I found a present for A! \o/ YAY MEATSPACE BUYING DONE. *dances*

After I got back, I finished the plot of the Layton game, too. :3 It wasn't quite so easy to call the twist as in the first one, but I had the gist, at least. Still have two minigames to finish, and 9 puzzles to find. Have done almost 130 puzzles, though, in ~11 hours. Either I'm getting better or I'm just giving up and asking the wiki too soon. Not sure. Am sure that some of the later puzzles were easier than the earlier ones, for me. But that's more the kind of puzzle - I'm shit at the maths ones, usually, but some of the others I can do pretty well.\

Anyway, will probably finish up the main game tomorrow, and then I'll be done with this series, at least until I get my hands on the fourth game. Which might be quite a while, as it's pretty new, so stupid prices.

OH ALSO. I'm not sure I remembered to say this before, but the voice acting SUCKS. Both technically, in the voice quality/tone/emotion sort of way, and in the appropriateness way. This is a game set in England! No one born and raised should locally sound nearby! You get more leeway with characters that don't have a backstory that requires them to be born and raised in a particular game-location, but most of those should be English too, I think. This is the nature of small towns! Generally there aren't many foreigners, if any! Ffff.
