OKAY SO. People who are better at Japanese/Online Shopping/Etc than me! (Mainly I mean toriko_roller, because she's likely to be interested in this problem for herself, but hey, anyone's welcome to jump in! Because knowledge is... well, less frustration, and hopefully less money on shipping!)

'kay, so. Beth, who is awesome, directed me to Japan!Online!Kinokuniya, which is here. (For those of you not in the know: there are a few Kinokuniya around the world. I have been to the one in Seattle, and it is awesome. There are rumours of one in Sydney, but I've not been to Sydney, except that one time for the Olympics, which doesn't count.)

Aaaanyway. Being me, first looked up the shipping costs. Which are here. And then I say to myself THAT CAN'T BE RIGHT. Because up to a kilo, via DHL, 1800 yen!? No, can't be. Can't be. SO OBVIOUSLY I AM MISSING SOMETHING. @__@ Can't figure out what, but...

An' then, wanting to at least try to solve my problem myself, tried to do the whole sign-up-and-go-to-shopping-cart thing, see what it comes up with. Only it looks like you need to be Japanese to do so, and. a;sljgls Am I just missing the giant GAIJIN CLICK HERE thing, or is it really like that? *facepaaalm*

...and yeah, I could just try Sydney's online store, only their stocks are not so much with the good - they just direct my back to Japan, for half the things. *HEAD. DESK. ARGH.*

SO UH. Help appreciated! Alternate sites appreciated! (If I email someone, should I go to Sydney or Japan first, you reckon...)

....I was gonna talk about the fires, and stuff, since we drove up to Howqua the usual way - and that means through Kinglake and the remains of Marysville - for Easter, but maybe tomorrow. (Did I mention I was absconding? Uh. Well, I doubt you missed me, and I'm back already, so.)

タイガーはばかな外人だよ!
