Reality
I am a failure in the eyes of society.
I stumble, trip, wobble, and fall continously over simple matters,
Repeatedly, redundantly,
This was my reality.
Everyday I am hiding behind my indifference,
My ignorance an utter bliss.
I love the way I live in my own world,
Where I understand me alone.
I wish this was my reality.
Parents, friends, acquaintances, family-
All try to plunge me into the world of the living.
They destroy my perfect world of oblivion,
Telling me I need to start becoming productive for my future,
is this what reality is really like?
I guess things need a change then.
After all the trials and me overcoming my insecurities, I am now a capable human.
I can manage my own business,
maintain good social relationships with others,
And I know more about the world than when I was younger.
I changed my view of reality.
Reality is where one lives.
Reality is the real world.
Reality is shaped by one's own hands.
Reality can be different between a person and another.
Reality can be altered by a change of actions.
I changed my reality.
From initially living in my own self-centered world, i was forced to expose myself to new doors.
I unlocked them, one door at a time,
Using the many, many keys I have, i insert one key in, take it out if it is the wrong key, try another key, take it out again if it is once again not just right, and I repeat the same process over and over again until the correct key is inserted into the lock.
Oh the feeling of success that overcomes a person when he or she has succeeded.
Nothing, I tell you, can ever win over this feeling. Achievements, accomplishments, and success- these are what makes a person so special.
Everyone has their own doors and set of keys.
Everyone is given the opportunity to check their given keys.
You, why don't you go and see which doors can you unlock?
Maybe you'll see a different reality unfold for the opened doors, uncharted opportunities ready to be ravished.
