Have I said lately how much I love our washer and dryer? Because I really do. I never understood when I was a kid, how grown-ups could spend so much money and get so excited over appliances. Why spend that much money on something when you could get an R2D2 robot(My understanding of economics was sketchy at best when I was little)?
Anyway, having just done a load of laundry, I want to say: Thanks for the kind words of sympathy about the loss of Bert in our lives. I'm not dwelling or beating my chest or anything like that- it's just that, that was something I wanted to say and it was better to say it now and get it over with rather than wait two years when it would really seem that I hadn't moved on.
I want to add, despite all the really fantastic stories people had of Bert, I did not. Our time together was quiet, friendly (okay yes, I would gnaw his head when we wrestled) but mostly we cooked for each other, watched movies, drank together, played darts- nothing thrilling or funny or wild. He never showed me the Dark Side that others said they've witnessed. Toar says this is a good thing... that he was never depressed when he was with me.
