So, home. Little bit dull really, although waiting on a reply from my cousin so I can hopefully go and see his baby in a bit. Parents are at work, mother is stressing because we don't have enough time to do everything she wanted to do whilst I was at home, despite me pointing out we did nothing last night nor are we doing anything much tonight (although cinema may happen).
I saw Caroline on Wednesday night which was a bit of an emotional night, never seen her that upset before which in turn upset me. :( Right, WELL.
Currently trying to remember to bring back EVERYTHING I realised I was missing when in Canterbury. Got a few books and things, need to remember to bring back my craft stuff so I can make some jewellery and hopeful sell a bit more (someone is buying two of the rings I put up for sale on
teatimecreation which is exciting - that'll be the 4th thing I sell provided I find the bracelet Jen bought off me ages ago) and most importantly to remember my coat. I arrived in Canterbury thinking of beach trips, but it very quickly got freeeezing, why is it so cold in Kent?
Yesterday I went to visit my grandparents, which was really a very lucrative visit as my gran has offered to give me £500 in advance for my Christmas present - MOST generous - which means I am now half way to affording a ticket to Sydney over Christmas to see Ashley, and I'm hoping the parents will contribute some aswell. Terribly, terribly exciting - had a nice conversation with the girl in question earlier, we talked of hiring out a combie and going back packing from Byron to Melbourne. Yay!!
I am really looking forward to seeing her, however the knowledge that there will soon be £500 sitting in my bank account is very, very tempting... I keep thinking of what else I could buy with £1000. Heh. But I couldn't buy a friend as awesome as Ashley, so I shall sacrifice (because holidays to Sydney are SUCH sacrifices :D)
On another note, I'm now course rep for stage 2 English Lit students which is kinda cool, I guess, or at the very least, something to add to my CV and enable me to complain more about the union. :)
And tomorrow hopefully going on a brief shopping trip with mother dearest, before heading back to Canterbury for Paul's birthday wine and cheese party. ;)
OH and our estate agent already is wanting to know if we want to keep the house for next year etc. I have no clue, we've only just started this year - but I know 2 of our housemates deffinately won't be living with us next year, so we have to either find a new house, keep this house and find 2 new residents OR I may find new people to live with.
