so, dread locks went amazingly.
scott came to pick me up in his rusted out '91 mustang. i asked to hold onto his drivers liscence until we got to the house, just for an extra layer of security. we chit chatted about life, dreadlocks, school and military on the way out to a'burg.
got to the house, and i met carole, and her 2 sons. they were super cute.
carole and i chatted for a bit, more or less a consultation.
i started by sectionning her hair. her dreads are mostly the same size, but a few are a bit smaller, just because theyre in areas where theres not as much hair. that took about 45 minutes.
took a cigarette break and i explaing exactly what i was going to do to make the dreads. she already had a general idea, and was really well informed. i'm happy with this, cause i know she will be able to take care of them
started out with the ones on the top and we talked and talked. she is literally me in 10 years. scott commented on it, and caroles father came in (they live in a duplex) and said that i remind him of her.
all in all, it took about 4 hours. with the talking and breaks and everything. and for my first set, they look FANTASTIC! i cant wait to see them in september/october.
shes moving away in november, and i told her i would do maintenance for her before she left.
yesterday, shopped with jess. bought 3 combs at cosmo prof. then off to windsor beauty. i got a liter of shampoo and a liter of conditionner, for 24$... that is pretty much amazing. theyre usually 16$ each or something like that... i also got a cutting cape, and apron and a case for my equipment for around 40$. they match... grey camo. i'm pretty happy. jason (from the wine store) met us there, and he got some stuff with my discount. hes paying me back on saturday.
went to the mall. met up with jay. i got a polo shirt for under 4$. a belt for under 2$. a bra for under 10$. i wanted a new purse, but i didnt find anything i love. and i kind of need new black shoes... i really like the vans slides, and one of the store had them. but i cant justify paying 50$ for a pair of shoes like that... they had a "up to 50% off sale", well apparently 0% is less than 50%. the vans i wanted (black and gery checkered) were not included... shit. i just remembered west 49 sells shoes... i didnt even look there.
came home, and i cleaned up some shit, and went straight to bed.
i FINALLY folded my laundry today. the drawer pull on my underwear drawer broke. i'm going to switch that drawer with the junk drawer in my desk... i never open that one anyway.
