Comiket (or "Comic Market") is one of the largest conventions in Japan and perhaps the world. It's a fan-run convention based on selling "doujinshi", or fan-made comics and novels. These doujinshi are often made by doujinshi "circles", or groups. Some are more famous than others. There are fandoms of all kinds, with prices ranging from $2 to $20 for a normal doujinshi. It runs for 3 days, each day having a different theme.
What I bought recently is the Comiket Catalog, a phonebook-sized list of all the circles that well be there. They come with about a 1.5" square for each circle to post a picture with an example of their work, so it's easy to identify each one and its fandom.
Because my Mom and Abi are coming to visit (yay!), we'll be going to Kyoto right afterwards, so I can only attend the first day. The first day is the anime/Video Game/foreign works/musical performers day, so here's how it's gonna work. This is a list of all of the fandoms I can read/recognize in the Comiket Catalog. If you are interested in me getting you one or more, I can give you a bit more info on the circles, and if possible I can take pictures of the pages they're listed on. Just gimme a comment on which ones you're interested in!
