Hmm... okay, I have a few more things I'd like to poke at the plot with. *nods*
First of all, since the villain will be made of pure Ensife, he (have we decided it's a he? Most of the players seem keen on it being a he ^^;;;) would have to be different from other children in a marked way. Since he's basically soulless, only a creature of the mind--I propose that the villain would be unable to feel emotions. He'd understand what they were, but he wouldn't be able to experience them. @_@ Now imagine how frustrating it would be, not to understand what makes other people smile and laugh, what makes them sad and cry, and so forth... So I'm proposing that the villain himself, before he becomes 'aware', should be subconsciously searching that collective unconscious that Shin-mun brought up, to find out why he's missing his emotions. Along the way, since he basically doesn't know what he's doing, he could disrupt random archetypes and whatnot--only after he's aware would he go specifically for the hero archetype. Basically... before the villain actually goes 'evil', he could be searching the collective unconscious for a way to reunite his Ensife with Leafe, but he wouldn't know what he was looking for. Which brings up another thing...
I'm going to say that at some point in the distant past (maybe even the beginning of time), Leafe and Ensife were derived from the same thing--that's why they're bound so inextricably and why an unbalance is so devastating. Essentially, at some point Leafe and Ensife were one and the same. The only way to reunite a separate Leafe and Ensife would be to return them to that state and to let them diverge again... And since our villain only has power over Ensife, he wouldn't be able to do that. That's where the Pretear and the Knights come in. _^_ If they can find a way to return Leafe and Ensife to that state... they could possibly save the villain from going irrevocably 'evil', and save the world from collapse. ^_^ How's that sound? It's a tentative thesis, but I've been thinking on it for a bit.
Finally, another point I thought up that also relates to the plot... If the villain is a street urchin/pickpocket as we've been discussing, if the younger Knights make friends with him, the older ones are going to find out sooner or later. And I can't imagine either Goh or Kei allowing the kids to consort with such a... negative influence. So, the kids' friendship with the villain would have to be a secret, naturally... But once the older ones find out, they'll probably try to separate them, at which point the villain would be losing the only friends he had--so inevitably he would be most angry at those who try to separate him from Shin, Hajime and Mannen. ^^; Get my drift? So... either Goh or Kei, I'm guessing, would be the sacrificial lamb, since they've apparently been pegged as the 'parents' in the RPG. :P
I think that's all... *goes off to muse some more*

This could be when the child first starts messing with archetypes, though. Sort of unconsciously making people have a more favourable opinion toward pickpockets/street kids so that he won't lose his new friends.
That's a good point. *nods* But as Leafe Knights, they might be a little less affected by that particular manipulation... And the way I'm envisioning it, it might also be an important plot element. We'll have to see. ^_^
