Oh nooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!!!!!! this is the saddest and most delightful "concession speech" indeed!!!!!! (although I've never seen SPN, haha; and I think it would scare me probably, so I've no idea how I actually feel about Dean)

Ha, you've probably forgotten ever saying this! I know it's always weird when you get comments yearrrs later, haha. Just, I am poking around the history of FMM because I'm the kind of lame dorky person who's almost more curious about the inner workings than invested in who wins?

--below this line I rambled on with curiosity about the ~inner workings of the game! so _kirsty feel free to stop reading! It just seemed silly to un-consolidate after the fact--

typicrobots! You are so dedicated to be doing all this searching out of cheaters! Though, I mean, I'd probably do it, too, if I realized it was happening. Which. I SERIOUSLY DO NOT GET WHY PEOPLE BOTHER, WTF. But anyway! Thank you or congratulations or something? No, I don't know what I'm trying to say! Probably something like, I'M IMPRESSED WITH YOUR UNDERTAKING, YIKES. I don't think I realized that this game is relatively young and its origins not at all shrouded in mystery. :D Or that my fandom area of choice/flist has some overlap with yours, so like that and the fact that it hearkens back to a poll of Anne's in that like early-Office era - now my flist's tone being pretty much in perfect sync with "but in the end Fandom Steel Cage Match March Madness taught us what's really important: alienating your flist," but at the same time no one being ACTUALLY CRAY - makes perfect sense. As does the fact that people like Anne & Martha, who are no longer very LJ-active, resurface for this! Since they your flist were present at its inception.

Hahaha, okay, this comment is getting weird and long, sorry! Do you mind if I ask you two three questions? They are not remotely springing from a complain-y place! I'm just intrigued by the process and didn't want to bother you if I could find this explained in the text of an old post somewhere (since you're busy catching dumbasses), but I have not!

1. Do you (personally) watch all these shows? My "research" suggests PROBABLY not, since in 2009 you were like, I had a list of 100 and whittled it down! but I suppose you could, in theory. Was the List of Many Fandoms that you whittled down from the product of flist/fannish osmosis mostly? Did you like list a bunch of things and people suggested ones you'd forgot? How did you go about whittling them down/how do you re-select each year balancing like, age and popularity and blah blah in each category and stuff? ... Oh man this looks like potentially a sneaky demand for Transparency for Fandom Justice, but it really isn't, I promise. I have no problem with who's in the game nor with the (I think) very simple principle of, your game, your rules!!

2. Unrelated: Your LJ name's a HIMYM reference, right? But your LJ is older than that! Did you change it, or is it a reference to something older that I don't know? (This is PURELY idle curiosity.)

3. Bonus question I thought of partway through: How on earth do you manage to sift through ALL the voters? o_O Do you click on every single person? How - long does that take, now that I think of it?! (Also, I think originally I wondered how you accounted for if somebody's LJ just HAPPENED to be born during the challenge dates, but now that I realize how young the game is and the fact that the main portion is only about a week, the odds of that are really not high. Also I suppose if that WERE the case, a person could theoretically ask permission to be an "exception" if it was obviously their main journal. Maybe? I suppose it could still be suspicious if they had joined to play... Oh, but if they were a new person maybe it would be okay after a like year of active normal LJ-ing had gone by or something... Although I guess someone could always - no, I guess if they were working THAT hard to cheat on this of all things, maybe they would kind of deserve to succeed, haha.)

Please answer only as you feel comfortable obv, and don't worry if you don't have time right now, of course!! (Although I suspect your answers will be shorter than my questions anyway, since I was speculating.)
