You know what grinds my gears?

Yes, yes, I used something from Family Guy to start off this little rant, but frankly it fits.

You know what grinds my gears?

A LOT OF THINGS.

Should I list them in some sort of fancy bullet point fashion, or maybe elaborate on each point?
I'd better stretch the old fingers 'cause here it comes. Just assume I'm speaking in the voice of John McLaughlin as I'm listing off each of these issues.

ISSUE 1: The Sinking Ship Syndrome

It is quite clear by now that my opinion of the current administration is, well, less than favorable. Does it spawn from my damn near disdain for the fellow in the Oval Office, King George? Sure. Does it split off, like some sort of angry political amoeba, from my rampant liberal nature? You bet.

The basis of it, though, comes from the fact that time and time again the various cogs and pieces of this White House have shown to be incompetent, undependable, and DISHONEST.

Note: When I say DISHONEST, I mean to say, that there are quite a few liars that populate the White House. Yes, I know, politicians will do and say anything to keep the the votes to their side. I'm not naive, so don't throw that my way. Is it just me or does no one in the media, spare a few crazy rogues, is WILLING to call these people out on it. CALL THEM LIARS. CALL THEM DISHONEST GASBAGS. Is it lacking in tact? Sure. Does it need to be done? YES.

Now, back to what I was saying..

The recent resignations of Tony Snow and Alberto Gonzales are just one of many past, and probably, future departures from the big ol' terminal that Bush occupies. Why does this bother me?

I won't even get into what pisses me off about Gonzales, and there is a lot, but frankly it comes from the fact he's lied, he's lied and lied repeatedly then acted as though he simply 'can't recall' what he said. He stepped down, and what did Bush say? "His good name has been drug through the mud for political purposes." When the Swiftboat crew did a number on Kerry/Edwards, and, no doubt, will be on the prowl again when the next Dem steps up to the plate for President, there certainly won't be a loud cry of "Foul! Foul!" from you, or anyone else on the right.

Snow's resignation is supposedly related to his battle with colon cancer. I have no doubt the guy's been sick, but frankly it's a little too convenient for my tastes.

OH! How could I forget about the Architect?
No. Not the guy from the Matrix who bored us all to death with his terribly long diatribes, but Senor Rove! Commander Karl! YES!

His stepping down was a REAL indicator that the rats are starting to abandon ship. This administration is slowly sinking much like the Titanic into the deep blue sea. The legacy of this here Bush crew will be that:

A) He didn't do much for Social Security
B) He didn't do a damn thing for Health Care
C) He helped line the pockets of his friends, and the richest 1%
D) Iraq

When ex-presidents are willing to break their silence, something that has always been paramount in the years before, expressing their distaste, their disgust over the actions of this awful Commander-In-Chief, then you know something is rotten on Pennsylvania Avenue.

Conclusion: Those around Bush see the writing on the wall, but I don't think he does. History will not be kind to this man and his lame duck presidency. I think I'd rather elect, in the words of Lewis Black, a dead president instead of the schmucks that are lined up to follow after this hack. Cleveland/Wilson 08? I think so!

ISSUE 2: Money, or lack thereof

DAMN I NEED A NEW JOB!

ISSUE 3: Halloween, ie: The Rape of Michael Myers

ISSUE 4: Heroes

-See you later, Space Cowboy
