Uhm...chapter one?

Okay uh, well over the past year (no, probably more) I have been obsessed with this amazing--and I do not use that word lightly--girls fanfic. essbeejay it's called More than Human, otherwise known to her better fans as TEF (or The Epic Fic). It may...damn well be the best thing I have read in my life, I shit you not.

In fact she has gotten me so hooked on it that I went on a rampage to looks for other fics of the like and found a handful of neat writers.

And as a result of all that, made me want to start something myself.

Now, when I pictured myself writing for a fandom way back when, The Powerpuff Girls was definitely not on my list. But sure enough here I am attempting to write for it.

This is my first time writing for characters that I haven't rp'd with so characterization wise? I probably butchered them.

I don't even know what this is, but if you're not a fan of the fandom (or my writing) don't look please.
Blossom inspected herself in the mirror, giving her reflection one last once over out of habit, after all she must look presentable. After finding everything to be in order, she nodded affirmatively to the mirror and flashed that press-ready smile of hers to further her confidence before making a bee line for Bubbles door on the side of the wall.
Now that the girls were well on their way to becoming adults they had each vouched for seperate rooms. Though in all honesty, it had been more of Buttercup and Bubbles screaming back and forth across the room about how if they had to share a room for "one more day" they would surely eyebeam one another in their sleep. That is until she had, yet again, offered up a compromise. She was good at those types of things she thought a bit smugly to herself. The Professor agreed of course.

But on one condition.

Yes he had indeed agreed to give them separate rooms if and only if they were placed side and with connecting doors in case there was an "emergency". That was what he claimed of course, but Blossom knew better, as did her sisters. Undoubtedly it was more likely a last ditch effort to keep his little girls in a closely knit bond like they were when they were five. She sighed at the thought.

The Professor could be so obvious sometimes.

Taking one last minute to listen she opened the door, giving the wooden frame a simultaneous knock out of politeness. She would have waited a good counted second or two before entering but she had been too engrossed in her thoughts earlier and when she had checked the clock on her way over to the door, her fears had been confirmed. They were going to be late! How awful.

To any normal teenage girl, this would not have been a problem. To any normal teenage girl, punctuality would not have been the first thing they fretted about in the morning. To any normal teenage girl, a scolding from a teacher would be welcomed, if it meant a few extra minutes of sleep. But blossom was not a normal teenage girl.

She was a Powerpuff Girl. And she had to keep up appearances.

But just because she was a PowerPuff didn't mean she wasn't susceptible to everyday fears.

For instance her sisters bedroom.

"Bubbles!" She shrieked, but after looking around she couldn't find any sign of her bright eyes sister. Not that there wasn't clues, her clothes were scattered everywhere. She tried again."Bubbles, where are you?" She heard a muffled reply from the confines of the closet and snapped her head in it's direction floating over and stopping in front of yet another mountain of clothes concealing what she could only assume to be her sister.

"Honestly Bubbles, what is all this? I can barely move in here!" She cried, exasperated. When another muffled reply came her way she rolled her eyes and floated higher to try and see past the clothes. She clicked her tongue impatiently when there was no such luck, we didn't have time for this!
"Oh whatever, I'm going to go get Buttercup, meet me downstairs in five or we're going to be late!" She didn't bother hiding the icicles that dripped from her last word, Blossom did not take tardiness lightly. With a slight huff she crosses her room--though it looked more like a minefield of exploded clothing--and swung open her sisters door, not even bothering with a knock this time.

"Buttercup are you ready yet---" She could have screamed. Oh yes she could have screamed. It wasn't like Buttercup wasn't used to her screaming anyway, since according to her she did it every five seconds. But at least this time she would have a right to, for there sound asleep in the tangles of her blankets, was her sorry excuse of a sister.
"Buttercup! What are you doing? It's half past six did you even shower yet? We're going to be so late!"

"Half past six? ...Shove off Blossom I have a good thirty minutes of sleep ahead of me" Buttercup groaned, emphasizing her resistance by doing a 180 on the bed. Oh no, she was not going to ruin her morning with another one of her "I despise mornings" routines. With a huff Blossom zipped over and--grabbing the bed by it's edges--flipped the black haired girl onto the floor, not hiding the triumphant smile from her face as she called over her shoulder.

"There, I shoved off. Now be downstairs in five there's something I need to discuss with you and Bubbles." And with that she headed straight for the door to the hallway, sharply turning to avoid the alarm clock that had been chucked her way courtesy of one foul-mouthed Buttercup. As she made her way downstairs she cast a cheerful glance and wave to the Professor who was occupied with the newspaper.

"Morning Professor."

"Morning Blossom, where are your sisters?" He looked at her and to the watch on his wrist a slight tinge of worry in his voice. "You're going to be late, do you need a ride?"

She chuckled, waving dismissively. "Oh Professor, you know we fly faster then your car and...and--" her voice slurred at the crestfallen look on his face. "--and...well...if they aren't down here in five minutes then we sure will need a ride!" She lamely ended, letting a nervous laugh escape her lips before turning around. C'mon girls. Maybe if she thought hard enough they would hear and get their lazy butts down--

"Here!" Bubbles waved joyously as she touched down right next to her, a cross-armed Buttercup in tow. Oh thank goodness. She looked passed them and nodded positively at the hopeful looking man seated in the kitchen.

"Okay Professor looks like we wont need that ride after all, see you after school. C'mon girls, we've gotta hurry!" Buttercup looked like she was going to speak up but clamped her mouth shut, working in that infamous scowl of hers.

Finally"Yeah, yeah lets just go." And along with an unsuspecting Bubbles they took off making their way to Pokey Oaks High School. But as much as Blossom had fretted about being late she found her pace was slower than usual.

"What is it little-miss-perfect, the wind whipping your hair too much?" Buttercup had noticed and wasn't hiding her attitude, clearly not getting over the bed tipping incident. Bubbles merely blinked at them both questioningly. She seemed perfectly content. Probably because she had found the right outfit after destroying her room. Blossom made a mental note to remind her to clean it later.

"Hush Buttercup. Bubbles pay attention I have to talk to you both, it's urgent news." Whatever snide remark Buttercup had at the ready ceased fire at the darkening expression that overcame their leaders face. Bubbles blinked again but gave an understanding nod as she too slowed down to their pace (Buttercup had done it immediately after Blossom so she could better hear her insults).

Blossom sighed and creased her eyebrows together, and thinned her mouth into a thoughtful frown.

"It's about the Rowdyruff Boys."
