Thank you. You are missed! It was nice to gaze upon your lovely visage for but a brief moment through the door. I thought about gazing longingly through the little window, but I was worried Randy might get the wrong idea...
Hey, still looking for a graphics card in the $150-$250 range. I'm a fan of newegg, but if you have a favorite you've dealt with, I'll definitely consider.
What a coincidence, I am too. I'm thinking about spending the extra money and going with a GeForce 6800GT. After reviewing the benchmarks, it seemed to outperform most of the ATI cards when they turned the 4x AA on and cranked up the resolution.
Like always, I strongly urge you to pick up an aftermarket cooler for that. Zalman is the best, and always will be for cooling solutions. I bet you could probably OC the 6800GT 15% without noticing any extra heat. Zalman's are fuckin beasts.
This is all assuming you're running a mobo with PCI-X 16x. If you've got AGP, then I feel bad for you, and I guess you could go with a 6800 but that's only 128 MB, or you could go with the 6800GT which has 256 MB, and will probably give you much better performance. I recommend a Zalman for any video card you get though, so try to take that into account.
P.S. Mallrats 10th Anniversary comes out soon. Get up on that shit!
What about this one? Looks relatively impressive. I'm looking to run Oblivion when it's released in November, and I know I'm going to need a better card. I have a 2.4 processor now, and I believe an ASUS mobo, but I'll check on that later.
Hey not bad! Can't wait dude! What are you doing that Saturday night that I get in? I was thinking of having a reunion at PR's...doing the usual...pbp (wink wink)...playing bond perhaps...hehe!! My flight gets in around 6 somethin and then I'm gonna to Jenni's to get settled in but after that I think it is f'n party time at PR's! peace
