*Gasp*
Life's been... busy. Good and bad.
My brother, my mother and I went to Reston to visit the Thomasians (friends of ours) on Sunday because Kamara is back from Mexico for a couple of weeks, and she brought the twins with her. They're adorable, but man are they a handfull. I think they're what, a year? Almost two, now? Anyway, they have the most shocking blond hair and fair skin, which I didn't expect because their mother is Armenian and their father is Mexican. I expected them to have dark skin and dark hair. Diana and Gabriel. I need to get some pictures of them before they leave. I think we're going to go back this Sunday, too. We were going to go on Saturday, but that's Clarissa's wedding, so we'll be there.
Anyway, Kamara told me I could come visit any time, which I really want to do. I've never been out of the country. Plus, this will be the kind of vacation I've always wanted. Not a tourist's vacation, but staying with friends and getting to see what life really is like for them. Going to their meeting or out in service. Everything. I don't know if I'll actually ever have the money to do it, but I'll save up a little while, and maybe sometime around January I'll be able to go. Of course I said that before and I've not gone yet - or to see the Ratcliffs in Idaho, or anyone who's moved anywhere.
I'm staying optimistic about this house I want to rent, but I don't know if it's going to work out. Which is a shame because now I really want to move out. Family things.
Lessee... Work's pretty good still. I just designed a t-shirt for the next catalog. It looks really nice, actually. It's a stylized Alfa Romeo Giulietta grille - all done in Illustrator - on a black shirt. I've already got at least one of my coworkers saying that as soon as we print the shirts he's buying one. That's always a nice thing to hear. This catalog's either going to be fairly easy - or really stressful. So far it's been easy. Lots of changes. Lots of photo shoots. Lots of people explaining to me what I haven't encountered yet (which is a lot). But no real time crunches so far, and no one getting angry if I make a mistake, or breathing down my neck to get things done quicker.
It's a very good situation so far.
Just got over a virus - a computer virus and a bad one. Actually it was more of a worm. And actually, it probably wasn't all that bad, it was just really frustrating. See I've run my computer for two year with no virus protection, and never had a problem whatsoever. My brother used it one time, and, well, I've spent the last four days fixing it. Although, I think we may have finally gotten rid of it. And without wiping my drive and starting from scratch. Yay!
In some ways I think I'm pretty boring. I really don't have much else to write about here. Which is probably why I've been so lax lately. Sorry about that.
