I went to the bank tonight to get some money from the ATM. It was a drive through ATM, and so after I got the money out, I paused for a moment to shove it into my wallet before pulling out.
Would you believe in that moment a cop pulled over a guy in a pick up truck - who stopped right in front of the only exit to the bank, completely blocking it? I had to wait there, mere centimeters away from freedom and in plain sight, while the cop dealt with whatever transgression the man had committed. It wasn't till both of them had pulled away that I could move again.
This kind of thing can only happen to me.
