My weekend was very very long, but not so bad as all that. I spent ten and a half hours on Saturday working at the job I left behind because they desperately needed the help. Not that I really resented it that much. I got a chance to catch up with one of my coworkers who's cool, and eat at El Vaquero. Mmmmmm.... Chile Relleno and Fried Ice Cream.
:)
I rented Serenity over the weekend. Good movie. I really missed out, not seeing it in the theatre. I rented it because a lot of people have told me how good it is, and I did manage to finally catch most of Firefly on the Sci-Fi channel.
One of my coworkers has an uncle or brother or something with a house to rent for really cheap in Madison. I really had wanted to rent an apartment, but if she's right, this would be cheaper even than an apartment. So I'm checking that out, but I haven't really even talked to the guy yet, so I don't know anything about the house, except that it's really small. (Which is fine for me.)
At work they're switching from Quark to InDesign, and I'm simultaneously recreating their most complicated catalogue into InDesign, but also learning the most difficult bits(I'd used InDesign before, but for nothing this extensive). It's fun, but a little tiring. Today I got all of two whole pages done. Fortunately my nearest deadline is six months away. Plus the web designer and I we taking photos of car parts for the website. Wow. Who knew that cars had so many different infinitesimal parts? Well, okay, probably a mechanic knew. Fine. But I didn't.
Boy I am boring. I thought I had more to write about than this. See this is what happens when you read comic books too much. Right now the things I think are the coolest to talk about are the things that no one else cares about. ;)
