I was NOT ready for this summer to end. I usually hate summers but for the first time I had a good one. I had a GREAT one. The best of my life. And now it's almost January and I miss tanning in my backyard. The smell of tanning oil. I miss my summer music, it's just not the same listening to "Paper Planes" by MIA or "Vanished" by Crystal Castles if it's not swelteringly hot. I miss the natural, carefree attitude that everyone has when summer comes around. The lazy days and crazy nights. I miss Huntington Beach. I miss throwing clothes on over the swimsuit that was worn for days in a row, and carelessly tossing salt-soaked hair up in a bun. I miss the exciting friends and relationships. Ironically, my summer romances are ending as the frost thickens on the grass blades outside. I think I was the happiest I've ever been, this summer.
