Joking with you friend in line
while ordering vegan soup,
stealing sips of his caramel macchiato,
then wham.
your tummy flys into your throat,
my eyes scanned for the door,
but i stood still
and tried my hardest to take another sip.
act calm, act collected.
then the email at work.
then the butterflies.
not even butterflies, more like sharks.
And now i'm sitting here
