Changes again...

Hi there LJ, it's been a while since my last post. I thought I'd put a quick post about the recent changes in my life. Many of you follow my Twitter page or friends with me on FaceBook, but some of you are not.

After being laid off from Bandai Entertainment in January of 2009, I did contract work for them for another year, working from home. In the few months following, I sent out many resumes and got some interest but to no avail. Just as things were starting to look grim on the financial end of things (like how to pay next month's rent) I got tipped to a vacant position at a US/International branch of a Japanese company. They were looking for a Media Producer to manage the English version of a Japanese show, and also be a liaison for the show's licenses in Europe and Latin America. The job seemed like a perfect fit for me. It was work I was very familiar with, and to boot, I was acquainted with the ADR director currently working on the series, and the Japanese licensing contact I would need to work with...happened to be a former coworker from my Viz days. Still, I went through the interview steps, provided references and had my fingers crossed for over a week before I told I got the job. I start in 9 days...in Seattle...at The Pokémon Company International. Yes, I am once again working for the electric yellow rat.

I'm nervous about moving again, but at the same time excited about the new challenge and the Pacific Northwest location. The best thing about it this time, is that my family will be moving with me.
