Bodie, CA. A ghost town in a state of “arrested decay.” It was one of many “boom towns” that appeared during the gold rush in the late 1800’s. The last occupants left in the mid 1940’s. This was one of my absolute favorite photo sets from my time doing field research in the Nevada/California area.
